Finally school is over and I was able to get on with working on my Halo project, unfortunately for my viewers I will be on vacation soon, so I present to all of you a temporary replacement for the plasma rifle I had promised. Which was also delayed because I plan on going up in scale with my projects, so plasma rifle is a little later.

I decided this time to model a background for the weapon, a floating object or a small stand wasn't going to cut it anymore. So here you have it, a full scene for this lovely (and sharp) grenade, a little piece of snowbound.

I did modeling in 3dsmax and this time I tried something new, all of my details were made in zbrush, and i even textured in zbrush. I find it much more interactive than texturing in photoshop, though zbrush can give me problems from time to time with seams and I do miss my layers. Overall it was fun and I hope it was worth the wait.
