The next installment in my Halo Project, by popular request the Energy Sword from Halo 3. Made in a semi-realistic fashion, most details are modeled with the exception of some of the characters on the hilt(s)?.

Modeled in 3dsmax, the handle alone is 20k faces when smoothed out. The sword is displayed on "premium" Halo 3 soil/rock thanks to images from the game repainted with the magic of Wacom. Eight 2048x2048 textures used, painted in Photoshop.Rendered in Maxwell.Post Processing in my almost expired trial of Photoshop CS 3
